Yogi Bear Brings Smiles to the Community

Yogi Bear is well known for bringing joy to the children and their families that visit Jellystone Park in Marion, NC. What many might not know is that Yogi also extends his paw to the community by visiting the senior citizens of nursing homes throughout Western North Carolina. In January of 2010, Yogi Bear bestowed his warmth at Autumn Care in Marion, North Carolina, a 125 bed rehab and nursing facility in the foothills of the Blue Ridge.
Yogi brought smiles and plenty of warm hugs to go around!! Yogi, who is known for stealing pic-nic baskets, shed a new leaf this time around…and passed out candy as he embraced all that he encountered!
Everyone at Autumn Care enjoyed the cheer that Yogi brought to them during his visit and it is safe to say that around Yogi, you can’t help but catch the spirit to reach out to your neighbor and give them a great, big bear hug!
